Chávez Goes Deep Twice in 11-3 Starks Win
The timely hitting of Martín Chávez helped the Syracuse Starks down the Norfolk Pajaritos, 11-3. Chávez hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Starks. The winning pitcher was Jorge Torres. He's now 4-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits for the Starks. The victory gives Syracuse a record of 37-28.

Buddy Patton hit a 2-run triple off Yu-wei Kum in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Starks in front, 4-2. Patton had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
