The Monongahela Monsters defeated the Norfolk Pajaritos, 2-1, in USSL Triple A action at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Monongahela pitcher Brian Thomas had a standout performance. Earning his 17th save for Monongahela was Félix González. The win puts Monongahela at 38-24 this season.

Thomas, now 9-2, scattered 1 hit over 7 innings for the Monsters.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Thomas said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
