The Syracuse Starks picked up a win at Stark Stadium, taking down the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 5-1. Starting pitcher Zuo-lin Liang was a big reason why. José Torres, credited with the save, is now 5 for 5 in save opportunities. Syracuse is now riding a 5-game win streak.

In the bottom of the first, Walke Mehoff hit a 2-run home run. The 2nd home run of the season for the Syracuse designated hitter put the Starks on top, 2-0.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Syracuse manager Ramón García.
