Starks Get 5-3 Win Versus Sioux Falls
|
A good performance from center fielder Erik Weinstein helped the Syracuse Starks defeat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-3. Weinstein went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Starks. Hendrikjan Zweers earned the save for Syracuse, his 7th of the year. The Starks now have a record of 32-25 with the win over Sioux Falls.
Syracuse grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Byron Ballard delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Starks.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ballard told the Syracuse News.
