Stark Stadium was the site for USSL Triple A action featuring the Monongahela Monsters and Syracuse Starks.

Behind a fine performance from Buddy Patton, the Syracuse Starks knocked off the Monongahela Monsters, 6-4. Patton belted 2 home runs for the Starks. The first-place Starks have won 7 straight games.

Patton had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a solo home run. The Starks went on to win.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Patton.
