The Sioux Falls Red Pandas faced a tough opponent in Austin pitcher Miguel Ávila, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Bamboo Forest by a final score of 4-2. Ávila went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs. Sioux Falls reliever Edward Pritchard picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Tadayuki Ito absorbed the loss. Sioux Falls now has a 3-game win streak.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Sioux Falls trailing 2-0, Danny Hensley jumped on a first pitch cutter from Tadayuki Ito for a grand slam home run, sending the Red Pandas to a walk-off win.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Hensley.
