|
Syracuse rode a fine outing from starter Zuo-lin Liang to victory over the Norfolk Pajaritos at Stark Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Liang got the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 5 over 5.1 innings. Liang allowed no runs. José Torres earned the save for Syracuse, his 2nd of the year.
Helping the Syracuse cause was Ryoma Yamamoto. In the bottom of the fourth, the 35-year old second baseman had a run-scoring ground out to make the score 3-0, Starks.
After the game, Syracuse manager Ramón García applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The Pajaritos, now 28-23, have lost 5 straight.
