Nova Scotia got a terrific performance from pitcher Miguel Pérez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. Northern Virginia won the The Dungeon in Halifax contest, 5-3. Pérez threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Tomás Ramírez earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Nova Scotia, with the loss, is 2-4.

Northern Virginia needed the clutch hitting of Chris P. Bacon to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 5-3. For the game, Bacon had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bacon.
