The Forest City Warriors got a superb performance from pitcher Marty Graham, but the Sioux Falls Red Pandas still won the game, 2-1. Graham threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Sioux Falls reliever Javier Solís picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Lance Mascola absorbed the loss. Sioux Falls is now 13-16, while Forest City is 17-12.

Sioux Falls used the timely hitting of Marcos Vargas to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Vargas told a Sioux Falls Today reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
