Monsters Earn 9-8 Win Versus Pride
The Hartford Pride and Monongahela Monsters provided some drama for the home crowd.

Stan James added some punch to the Monongahela offense, helping them outmuscle the Hartford Pride, 9-8. In the game, James, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 6, was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Getting the save was Félix González, his 7th.

Kyung-chul Son, who is rated as the 4th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Monongahela cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We've got a great group of guys," James said, "and we're having fun right now."

With the win over Hartford, the Monsters improved to 15-10.
