Getting offensive support from Sébastien Guillaume, the Monongahela Monsters topped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 9-7. Guillaume was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Monsters. Monongahela reliever Carlos Guerrero was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Gerardo Justisia. Félix González, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.

The Monsters got a big hit from third baseman Stanley Good. In the top of the fifth, Good pounded a 2-run home run to right. His 4th home run of the season put the Monsters ahead, 8-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Good told the Monongahela News.

With the win, Monongahela pushed its record to 13-9.
