Flyers Roll to 8-1 Win Over Starks
|
The Pennsauken Flyers topped the Syracuse Starks by the score of 8-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Alexander Karshev. Karshev went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Flyers on the day. Todd Johnson got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 6 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The Flyers, now 2-10, have not found much traction so far in 2048.
In the first inning, Karshev had a 2-run home run for Pennsauken. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Flyers on top, 2-0.
"We'll savor this win," Karshev told the Pennsauken Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
