Black Mambas Come Up Short at Norfolk, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Norfolk Pajaritos and the Austin Black Mambas, Yu-wei Kum was the difference-maker. The Norfolk right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Kum, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The victory makes Norfolk 6-4.
Had Adam Lee not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Lee hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Pajaritos.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Kum.
