The Norfolk Pajaritos picked up a win at The Bamboo Forest, knocking off the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-2. Starting pitcher Thomas Rice was a big reason why. The save went to Donald Nexport, number 1 for him. The win puts Norfolk at 4-2.

Norfolk took a 4-2 lead on Jai-guo Sun's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Sun hit in the top of the seventh, left Sioux Falls pitcher Francisco Hernández shaking his head.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Rice. "Successful pitchers do it."
