Austin Gets 5-2 Win
|
The Austin Black Mambas topped the Monongahela Monsters by the score of 5-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Denny Wolfe. Wolfe was 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Black Mambas on the day. Walton Gibbs earned the save for Austin, his 3rd of the year. The defeat makes Monongahela 2-4.
Wolfe had a big hit for Austin with no one out in the top of the fourth. With Austin leading 2-0, Wolfe hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Black Mambas up, 4-0.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Wolfe told the Austin News.
