The Sioux Falls Red Pandas got a stellar effort from pitcher Luis Bongers, helping Sioux Falls score a win over the visiting Austin Black Mambas, 5-2. The loss puts Austin at 0-2.
Luis Santos took Patrick Ibáñez deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Red Pandas on top, 5-2. In all, Santos had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"I thought we played a nice game," Bongers told the Sioux Falls Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
