Villa Slugs Starks to 4-1 Win
|
The Syracuse Starks got their 2048 USSL Triple A season off to a good start, defeating the Forest City Warriors, 4-1. José Villa set the pace. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Hendrikjan Zweers earned the save, his 1st.
Syracuse took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Villa hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made the score 3-1, Syracuse.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Villa said.
