Men Deal Lake Monsters 4-3 Loss
|
The Florida Men did just enough to sneak past the Vermont Lake Monsters, 4-3, at Psychos Ballpark. Florida pitcher Ikaia Duncalf, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Danny Antonio. He is now 5-7. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Florida is now 44-51, while Vermont is 40-55.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Florida trailing 3-2, Eugene Hollands hit a knuckle curve from Kyle Greene for a 2-run home run, giving the Men the walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Duncalf said in his postgame press conference.
