The Sacramento Redlegs got a good effort from starter Miguel Pérez in defeating the Bakersfield Nobles at Sacramento Sanitation Station. The final score was 3-2. Reliever Willie Steele picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Adrián Gómez took the loss. The Redlegs lead the Premier AAA by 6 games.

The Redlegs procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Luis Ibáñez. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

Ibáñez said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
