A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Billings Polar Bears and Akron Blimps.

The Billings Polar Bears knocked off the Akron Blimps, 8-4, at The Igloo. Stan Daniels was a big reason Billings won. The left fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win belongs to Jorge Bernard in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Claude Stevens took the loss for Akron.

Daniels had a key at-bat for Billings early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Billings an early 5-3 lead.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Daniels.

The Polar Bears raised their record to 4-2.
