The Salt Lake City Buzz racked up a win at Spirits Stadium, bumping off the Alaskan Humpbacks, 8-3. Manny Guerra, who started for Salt Lake City, pitched effectively for his team. The win puts Salt Lake City at 32-52.

Romain Picot went 1-2 with a walk for Salt Lake City. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mainio Kyyro. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

Picot called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
