William Gordon was locked and loaded, helping the Hialeah Dodos beat the Plymouth Rocks, 6-1. Mike Park converted his 9th save in 11 tries. Plymouth has now lost 4 straight.
The Rocks had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Dodos going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old catcher Luis Reyes came to the plate. Reyes hit a 2-run double on a 2-1 fastball from Plymouth hurler Gudrat Tumanov. It was Reyes's 2nd double of the year.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Gordon told the Hialeah Herald. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
