Multi-HR Day for Burnell as Redlegs Overpower Tritons, 7-4
|
The timely hitting of Lewis Burnell helped the Sacramento Redlegs down the Jersey City Tritons, 7-4. Burnell slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Redlegs. The winner was Dan Taylor in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Sancho Altagracia took the loss. Willie Steele recorded the save, his 21st.
Suphi Koraltan, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA in triples with 3, helped out the Sacramento cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Burnell told the Sacramento Herald.
The Premier AAA-leading Redlegs are 50-29.
