Mastenbroek, Humpbacks Too Much for Nobles
|
Remco Mastenbroek left his imprint on the 5-4 Alaskan win against the Bakersfield Nobles. Mastenbroek, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA in stolen bases with 17, was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The victory gives Alaskan a record of 40-36.
Mastenbroek had a timely hit for Alaskan in the top of the seventh. With Bakersfield trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-2 sinker into a 3-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Alaskan.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mastenbroek. "And not try to do too much."
