The Hialeah Dodos beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 9-3, at Dodos Ballpark. The Dodos got a fine performance from shortstop Calvin Chappell, who was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Cooper Carroll, the winner, improved to 5-4. He held the Redlegs to 1 run on 2 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. The Dodos, at 28-40, have now won 4 straight.

Making an impact for the home team was Germán Pérez. In the bottom of the fourth, the 29-year old catcher had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 3-1, Dodos.
