The Bakersfield Nobles got a sterling performance from pitcher Miguel López, but the Kansas Rainbeaus still prevailed, 2-1. López threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Ben Hankins was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 9 save opportunities. The victory gives Kansas a record of 30-30.
Ben Lindsay took Luis Gutiérrez deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Rainbeaus on top, 2-1. In all, Lindsay had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
