The Billings Polar Bears did just enough to secure a victory over the Bethesda Atoms, 4-3, at Atoms Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Hidehira Shibutani. Earning his 1st save for Billings was Todd Jackson. The loss makes Bethesda 0-2.

Billings relied on the bat of Karst Haazens to get the win. The right fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 4-1. For the game, Haazens had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Billings manager Marvin Nelson.
