Behind an impressive start by Floyd Emery, Jersey City beat Salt Lake City, 4-2. Emery got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. Emery allowed 2 runs. Jersey City raised its record to 25-23 with the win.
Sherman Kline had a big hit for Jersey City in the bottom of the third inning. With Jersey City leading 1-0, Kline hit a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Tritons up, 4-0.
