Nobles Deal Rainbeaus 8-2 Defeat

The Bakersfield Nobles faced a tough opponent in Kansas pitcher Kevin Hamm, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Wichita Field by a final score of 8-2. Hamm went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The victory gives Bakersfield a record of 23-22.
Bakersfield used the timely hitting of César Enríques to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Nobles ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Enjoyed this one," Enríques told the Bakersfield Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
