The Hollywood Shredders bested the Athletic Club KC by a score of 5-3, with first baseman Yamato Sato getting the main credit. On the day, Sato was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Shredders. Ratko Peric, the winner, goes to 4-2. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Getting the save was Ewan Atwood, his 1st.
Hollywood used the timely hitting of Maxim Abeele to capture the win. The catcher socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Shredders ahead, 4-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
Sato told a Hollywood Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Hollywood is now 25-12, 3 games up in the Premier League.
