Drummers Earn 3-2 Win Versus Men
|
The Tortolita Drummers took Florida pitcher Walt Gould's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Drummers Ballpark. The final score had Tortolita getting past the Men, 3-2. Gould went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 3. The Drummers, at 28-17, sit in second place in the Menard's AAA.
Shawn Kyllo had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth. The Tortolita center fielder came through with a run-scoring single to put Tortolita in front, 3-2.
Kyllo said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
