The 8-3 Northern Virginia win over Boston was due largely to Dhataki Pummy. The Rainbow Mermaids left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win puts the Rainbow Mermaids at 19-15, while the Patriots drop to 15-19.

With Northern Virginia leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Pummy came up to bat against Boston pitcher Robert Smalls. Pummy hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Rainbow Mermaids on top, 7-0.

Pummy called the win "a team effort."
