Reserves Top Humpbacks, 4-0
|
The Athletic Club KC Reserves picked up a win at Sea World, knocking off the Alaskan Humpbacks, 4-0. Starting pitcher Rodney Johnson played a key role in the triumph. With the loss, Alaskan sinks to 9-10.
Athletic Club KC relied on the hitting of Dread Roberts to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reserves on top, 2-0. For the game, Roberts had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Roberts told the Athletic Club KC Citizen. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
