Drummers Drop Brass, 8-4

The Tortolita Drummers topped the Baton Rouge Brass, 8-4, in M3L Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Tortolita pitcher and Yakima, Washington, native Chase Davis. Davis got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 8.2 innings. Davis allowed 4 runs. The Drummers now have a record of 13-9 with the win over Baton Rouge.
Tortolita right fielder Gene Haber contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a changeup into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Drummers ahead, 4-1.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Davis.
