Fighting Dachsunds Drop Brass, 4-3

The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Baton Rouge Brass, 4-3, at Brass Field. Ellenburg second baseman Ming Wang had a superb performance. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ellenburg reliever Herman Griffin was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Kane Hallworth took the loss. Hai-liang Che closed the game out for Ellenburg, earning his 2nd save.
Ellenburg used the timely hitting of Salvador Barrón to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Baton Rouge manager Jarred Smith. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The loss makes Baton Rouge 11-7.
