Hollywood beat Boston on the strength of starter Van Hileman's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. The first-place Shredders have won 5 in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Miguel Bustamante came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Boston pitcher Alvin Randolph, he hit a 1-1 changeup for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Hollywood on top, 4-2.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese. "It's usually not just one thing."
