Salt Lake City and Kansas duked it out and the Buzz came out victorious.

The Salt Lake City Buzz beat the Kansas Rainbeaus, 8-6, at Wichita Field. Salt Lake City designated hitter Gareth Kvernoey collected 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 4 runs. Poom Saksansin locked down his 3rd save.

Salt Lake City took a 7-3 lead on Kvernoey's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Miguel Aguirre in the top of the sixth, propelled Salt Lake City to the win.

"We got the victory," said Kvernoey. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The Buzz, now 5-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
