Rocks Lose By a Run at Hialeah, 3-2
|
The Hialeah Dodos got a good effort from starter Dan Carter in defeating the Plymouth Rocks at Dodos Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. The win belongs to Daryl Benstead in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Von Hansen took the loss for Plymouth. Mike Park recorded his 3rd save for Hialeah.
Luis Reyes, the Hialeah catcher, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 2-1, Dodos. For the game, Reyes was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
Afterward, Dodos manager Zach King was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
