Costa Helps Hollywood Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
With shortstop José Costa leading the charge, the Hollywood Shredders defeated the Boston Patriots, 10-3, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Costa, who is tied for 9th in the PL in extra base hits with 14, went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Shem Burkholder, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held Boston to 3 runs on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Hollywood has now won 4 games in a row.
In the first inning, Costa had a grand slam home run for Hollywood. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Shredders on top, 5-0.
