The Bakersfield Nobles did just enough to sneak past the Plymouth Rocks, 7-6, at Jerome Grounds. Bakersfield pitcher Lung Zhou, in particular, had a standout performance. Plymouth drops to 1-1.

The Nobles were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Juan Tilve turned a 2-2 curveball from Ari Schaller into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Jerome Grounds denizens and sent the Nobles home with a thrilling 7-6 win.

"This place was rockin'," said Zhou.
