Shredders Knock Off Leviathan at The Hollywood Bowl

Hollywood starter Teika Fukuda put a stranglehold on the Nova Scotia offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Shredders to a 3-1 win. Fukuda picked up the win for Hollywood, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Hollywood currently is in first place in the Premier League at 14-11.
Hollywood second baseman Mitsuoki Sugimoto contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Shredders ahead, 3-0.
"I liked his command," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese. "Teika was throwing strikes."
