Lakers Win at Seattle, 5-3
|
The Seattle Rocketeers got a sterling performance from pitcher José Correa, but the Echo Park Lakers still prevailed, 5-3. Correa threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Echo Park reliever John Gaudet picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. José Correa took the loss. Echo Park is now 47-58. Seattle is 52-53.
It could have been a different outcome for Echo Park, had it not been for Bill Gatacre, the 26-year old right fielder . Gatacre contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Echo Park up, 4-0.
"Winning never gets dull," said Gatacre.
