No one was more impactful than Gustavo Gonzáles in the 8-7 Pittsburgh win over Cleveland. Gonzáles, who is on pace for 70 RBI this season, slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Luis Boll earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The win puts Pittsburgh at 38-56.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Pittsburgh trailing 7-6, Gonzáles hit a slider from Chris Logan for a 2-run home run, giving the Kingfishers the walk-off win.
Gonzáles described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
