Saturday, August 10th , 2047
Takechi Estribera continued his streak at Sea Dogs Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Surprise first baseman was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Shockers were not as fortunate, losing 7-2 to the Maine Sea Dogs.
"Estribera was hitting everything we threw at him," said Maine manager Carlos Soto. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Takechi Estribera hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
For the season Estribera has hit .329 with 3 home runs and 34 RBIs. He has played in 70 games and scored 42 times.
