Playoff Bound: Plattsburgh Secures Wild Card Saturday, September 7th , 2047 The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a USSL Rookie wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 61-35, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said center fielder Tim Lowry. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Puffer Fish don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 3rd USSL Rookie championship in franchise history. |
