League Gives Luna Suspension
Sunday, August 25th , 2047
There was a hostile encounter between Francisco Luna and the men in blue in yesterday's Capital Hill-Plattsburgh game. The Interns reliever was tossed for arguing a called third strike. Actually he did a little more than just complain about the call -- he got in the umpire's face and had to be restrained by his manager.
"I don't think I did anything to deserve to be thrown out of the game in the first place, never mind be suspended," Luna stated. "That's unbelievable. I still don't know why he threw me out of the game. I didn't charge over there until after he gave me the heave-ho."
The league office did not agree with his assessment of the confrontation and suspended Luna for 4 games.
So far this season Luna has worked 9.1 innings in 5 relief appearances with 0 saves. He has dished out 5 strikeouts and walked 2 with a 1-0 mark and a 4.82 ERA.
