Playoffs? No Chance for Capital Hill Monday, August 12th , 2047 Even the most die-hard fans of the Capital Hill Interns will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Interns starting pitcher Norberto Morán. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." The Interns have missed the playoffs 9 times in their 11 years as a USSL Rookie franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2044. Capital Hill has won the SL R Championship 3 times in their history. |
