Hitting Streak Still Alive for Studer Saturday, July 27th , 2047 Radomir Studer has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Greenport third baseman picked up 3 more today against the Athletic Club KC U-21 and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Harbor Whales won the game 10-7. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Radomir Studer flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Arvin Sampang in the 9th. In his stats this season, Studer has posted a batting average of .273 with 70 hits in 256 at-bats, 15 home runs and 43 RBIs. He has also scored 35 runs, walked 21 times and compiled a .333 OBP. |
