Kawaguchi Week's #1 Player Monday, August 27th , 2046 So far in his young career, Kichibei Kawaguchi has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USPL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Nuevo Mexico Mariachis center fielder hit at a torrid .455 clip as he collected 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Kawaguchi is hitting .247 this season with 18 home runs, 52 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 83 hits in 336 at-bats. |
