League Suspends Day and Torres for Fisticuffs Monday, August 12th , 2047 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Minnesota-Bethesda contest at Loony Bin. The Loons Sonny Day and the Atoms Vicente Torres will have to sit out 4 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Day is batting .252 with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs this season. So far this season, Torres has logged a 2-7 record with a 4.89 ERA. He has started 15 games, hurled 73.2 innings and registered 60 strikeouts and 27 walks. |
